My roots in service to community grow from when I joined the US Army in 2002, as a PATRIOT Missile Launching Station Operator/Maintainer. I served my country from Fort Bliss, Texas, and Suwon Air Force Base in the Republic of Korea. From that experience, I learned the importance of Duty, Loyalty, Honor, and Respect. 

Today, I continue to serve the community in my career, with my family, and in my free time. I am a Staff-member for the California State Assembly Military and Veterans Affairs Committee. I value sports and extracurriculars, and coached Junior Giants since 2011, as well as coached and served on the Board of Directors for Sacramento Roller Derby.

Education is important, and I can thank the GI Bill for funding my college path. In 2009, I earned an Associates in English at Solano Community College. In 2011, I graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a Bachelors Degree in English. In 2019 I decided to return to CSUS and pursue a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Administration, a degree I’m happy to say I earned in the spring of 2021.

While obtaining my Master’s Degree, I also became a mother to a beautiful and healthy little girl. Julia inspires me to create a better California, one in which she does not have to fight for water security, affordable housing, fulfilling employment, and to preserve her Constitutional rights. 

As a mother, United States Army Veteran, and native Californian – I am running to represent California State Assembly, District 11, to advocate on your behalf. I am passionate about educating our youth, empowering our communities, enriching our neighborhoods, and improving our state to ensure a healthy and fulfilling future for the next generations.
